Dr Simon Lane is a biologist and optical engineer in the Biophotonics group in the IfLS. He works at the interface of medical research, chemistry and engineering, developing novel imaging technologies for the lab.

His current research focuses on development of lightsheet microscopes suitable for rapid organoid imaging, including label-free, and metabolic imaging.
